সব লিখেছে এই কেতাবে দুনিয়ার সব খবর যত,
সরকারী সব আফিসখানার কোন্‌ সাহেবের কদর কত।
কেমন ক’রে চাট্‌নি বানায়, কেমন ক’রে পোলাও করে,
হরেক্‌ রকম মুষ্টিযোগের বিধান লিখছে ফলাও ক’রে।
সাবান কালি দাঁতের মাজন বানাবার সব কায়দা কেতা,
পূজা পার্বণ তিথির হিসাব শ্রাদ্ধবিধি লিখছে হেথা।
সব লিখেছে, কেবল দেখ পাচ্ছি নেকো লেখা কোথায়—
পাগলা ষাঁড়ে কর্‌লে তাড়া কেমন ক’রে ঠেকাব তায়!
